There's strength in numbers, so it seems the best chance at change is brief submissions from as many people as possible.
If you found an activities course you took valuable, or you find the idea of such courses valuable, perhaps you could spend a few minutes tomorrow emailing William and Mary about it. It would only need to be a few sentences. The sheer volume of students and former students could make a difference. Here's a list of administrators and members of the Board of Visitors that a brief message could be BCC'd to. They will already have gotten a copy of the extended letter from me (http://verbicardocs. blogspot.com/2017/11/preserve- adventure-retain-discovery.htm l), so yours could be a simple followup.
